Photo copies of two pages from Daughters of the Game, a publication produced by former New Ulm High School teacher Dorothy E. McIntre and Marian Bemis Johnson included a feature of the 1919 New Ulm High School basketball team. Pages 230 231 reproduce the story of New Jlm's 1919 which accepted and lost a challenge of playing Owatonna for title of the "best team in the state. Copy of publication desired for digital scanning for long-time preservation.
Book has pictures and names if New Ulm players listed below. Not all spelling may have been correct but are reproductions from the Owatonna People's Press. NUHS did not have girls' teams continuously since at least 1919. |
