Photo of Company M, 3rd Pioneers, 54th Inf. baseball team on duty in Koblenz area in Germany at end of WW1. Company M was stationed at Andernach on the Rhine river and played in the Rhine League with Schapekahm playing third base according to at least one clipping. Other players are unidentified. If identification of other is known, send to nusc@newulmtel.net with any additional information. Emil Berg and other New Ulmites were also members of this unit in France but if any played baseball, it cannot e determined. |
