New Ulm's Jamie Hoffmann went 4 for 10 in two games for Chattanooga of Southern Association Thursday and Friday (Apr. 9-10). He doubled and tripled for a .700 slugging average for the two games.

A 2006 New Ulm Cathedral graduate, Greta Sieve, has been recognized for major early season track achievements at College of St. Catherine. She is the daughter of Jeffrey and Susan Sieve of New Ulm.

Galen Holzhueter of Minnesota Valley Lutheran represented the greater New Ulm Area on the 2009 All-Journal basketball team for boys as announced Thursday April 8.

Six outstanding seniors were honored April 4 at the New Ulm Club’s annual city-wide event. The selections represent a large part of the greater New Ulm area served by New Ulm Sports Central.
