HANSKA - The three VFW level teams from the immediate New Ulm area were down to one, and that in a precarious position, as VFW Second District sub-district play headed for conclusions today.

HANSKA - New Ulm Jr. Legion topped Wells 16-2 and Fairmont took Sherburn 8-4 to set up a semi-final match of undefeated teams in the Southwest Sub-District of the VFW playoffs.
